What you see

Detailed description of steps to reproduce the bug.
Include screenshot if possible

-Click on the video link to open up the stream (when it’s live)
-Controls native to the Twitch stream show up for volume, play/pause, etc.
-Click on any of these controls
-No reaction

What you expect to see

What is the correct behaviour you’re expecting?

-The buttons to interact upon clicking
-Specifically the ‘click to unmute’ button that appears on mobile.

System Details

  • browser: Safari
  • browser version: Most recent (on iPhone, not sure how to find that for the app)
  • operating system: Mac iPhone 12 Mini, version 14.6
  • how are you using cryptovoxels
    • [x] desktop web
    • [x] mobile web
    • [ ] native VR app

This is a tricky one for us to fix as we can’t easily pass click events through to the embed (due to web permissions). Will investigate though, and see if we can come up with a solution.

Thanks! Ya I had a feeling it was something like that. If there was just a way to make that stream not default to ‘muted’, that would be sufficient. It’s something that’s only happening on mobile, too if that helps.

Just wanted to add a new discovery I made here:

I just got a new MacBook Desktop and am experiencing the same default to mute that’s happening. So considering my phone is also of a recent model (iPhone 12) , it doesn’t seem to a mobile vs. desktop/laptop issue, but perhaps a new OS reaction.

What browser were you running on the MacBook?

I’m using both Brave and Safari. Interestingly I’ve tried both desktop version and mobile for both browsers and here’s what I’m getting:

Desktop-
Safari: un-Muted upon first try, muted after every refresh
Brave-Unmuted every time

Mobile
Safari: Muted ever time
Brave: Muted every time

Also, the desktop device is the new iMac, not a MacBook in case that makes a difference.
